i saw someone in here say Trout is going to break all the records. Which ones specifically? It’s not homeruns. It would of been hard for him to do it before but this season completely eliminates that.

dude is phenomenal and will definitely be one of the top players all time for sure.

trout is 27 and is at 285 HRs. needs 477 to tie the record. I don't think he has a shot at it. i could see him pushing 600 HRs though. he should have 4 mvps. with the game pushing away from factoring team wins in mvp talks, i could see him snagging another 2-3.

If he averaged 39 HR (his avg through his career to date) a year until age 39, he’d get to 675. But that’s also counting this year which eliminates a good chunk of that.

:smh: what were Manfred and the rest of these bozo owners doing the whole time they were stalling?

A-Rod belongs in the discussion. People had a lot of disdain for him down the stretch which probably hurts him, but if we're being honest with ourselves he's up there.

Griffey was/is hands down my favorite player but I'd have him behind Bonds for the GOAT discussion. i think it'd be different if he was able to avoid the string of injuries but i don't like playing shoulda, woulda, coulda with GOAT debates. it's about what was done, not what coulda been done. i would probably give ARod the nod over Griffey as well for GOAT

i know you can bring up the steroids and HGH angle, but as far as i'm concerned, all that is just part of baseball at this point

If he’s downplaying Arod because of steroids, you’d have to take out bonds too. He’s definitely up there

Alex was better than Griffey, Griffey had a lot of down years when he left Seattle and was never the same.

It has to be Alex or Bonds, I would go with Alex because he played a harder position and was also a top 3B player.

Bonds > A-Rod man. One can make the argument that Barry aint even use for the first part of his career, which was also incredible. I'm a Dodger fan and hate the damn Giants but it is what is, you can't have MLB GOAT conversations without Barry in there.

As for Trout, he's obviously on that path to be best ever, especially if WAR is a measurement some of y'all use, but a lot can happen in another decade or so. I can care less about the Angels, but I appreciate Trout's talents. MLB has been so terrible at marketing. In the 90's and early 2000's, there were a good amount of folks that could've recognized Griffey, Bonds, Jeter, A-Rod, etc. I bet you can line Trout up with a couple of other MLB guys and some casual sports fans probably couldn't identify him.

Down years? I would say injury plagued
Call them what you want. Griffey was a top 10 player in MLB history for the first half of his career, and was a slightly above replacement level player for the second half of his career.

There is no way this season even happens.

It sounds like Freddie Freeman is in bad bad shape.

Damn, Hope Freeman recovers....Rudy Gobert is still dealing with symptoms from March

But these money trains are gonna stay on course until they're forced to crash...the powers that be are willing to risk everyone else's lives to do it 🤷🏿‍♂️ :{
