2024 MLB Thread; RIP Willie Mays & Pete Rose. Dodgers win #8!

I don't think K's are hurting the game as much as the means to get them. Some pitchers take a minute or so in between pitches and the ability for managers to toss out 5+ pitchers to the mound/game is what sucks. If a starting pitcher is going deep and getting 9Ks, that's considered a great performance and more exciting than a collection of specialists. Ensure Big League batters the opportunity to see a starting pitcher the third time through and I'm sure the K's per game rate changes...

dland24 dland24 I feel the frustration from a manager's perspective if it's in a learning environment like Little League or even JV baseball, where young bucks are learning to develop and you don't need to make matters worst. However it's hard for me to understand La Russa's need to call for Yermin to take 3-0 against a damn position player pitching. Yermin has the potential to make generation-changing money and every at-bat is an opportunity to increase the likelihood he and his family secure that.

what about the rule of supporting your players?

I feel bad for the Sox players. Its going to be a long season for them.

2 straight Padres series sweeps at home :pimp:

1 against the NL Central leading Red Birds.

Day off tomorrow and then going to the Friday & Sunday home games against the Mariners while also just keeping any eye on the Giants vs Dodgers series and watch them beat each other up and Padres move into 1st place

Padres good start to the season is because of:

- Number 1 ranked team ERA in all of baseball
- Number 1 in team stolen bases in all of baseball.
- Melancon has been lights out and perfect as our closer so far.
