2024 MLB Thread; RIP Willie Mays & Pete Rose. Dodgers win #8!

I definitely thought it was an overpay as far as years. 13 years was wild. But he's been balling the past couple seasons.

13 years is wild no doubt i believe it was 10/330 at first but he wanted to help the team and bring in players so they added the 3 years to help lower the AAV

it helped lower the luxury tax and overall value of the contract

but tbh phillies front office aint doing a damn thing to try and help this team lol but contract is looking decent right about now

IMO they nailed it so far esp with how contracts continue to rise

phillies had no action (although we still missing playoffs) harper atleast brought the hype back to baseball in philly

my nephew is gonna be at minimum 6'3 and is a lefty
but my bro too damn lazy to play catch with him
smh
you know what to do...

Phils should make a play for Correa. I want the Red Sox to too, even though it would be tough to root for dude. But oh well.

Ultimately I think he goes to NY or LAD.

...leaders for both sides met at the Four Seasons Dallas at Las Colinas. When the meeting adjourned minutes later, officials from the league left the hotel and players were told talks were done for the day.

yikes. expecting a flurry of signings before the deadline in a few hours
