I consider myself to be a purist, and I have been coaching for 20 years now. If what I am about to say comes off as self righteous, then so be it. Pete Rose deserves to be kept out of the Hall of Fame. Thats the coach in me coming out I guess.

I can see the continued trepidation towards Pete being in. I guess I look at it more as, (and yes I'm aware he has said this): Someone got all those hits, and that was obviously before coaching.

I get the argument. I do. I just feel like betting on games you are managing compromises the integrity of the games 10x more than a player taking steroids.
