2024 MLB Thread; RIP Willie Mays & Pete Rose. Dodgers win #8!

Giants are a AAAA team at this point but those umps were straight doo doo in the 9th.

Also, how does Farhad think Reed is a better option in right then Chris Shaw? lol

I legit had no idea who Connor Joe was lol
Sounded like a create a player name

Mariners are a joke.

It will be fun to watch the Red Sox pitching and bullpen be trash all year. Sale's arm is done and Evoldi will be back to trash.

johnnyredstorm johnnyredstorm Should RBI and SB be worth 2 or 1.5? Just for proportional reasons. As it is now, if a player has a 40 hr season, that's 160 points. If another player has a 100 RBI season, that's only 100 points. Same concept for SB. A 50 stolen base season seems like it should be worth more than 50 points.

Sorry to be a pain in the a**, just trying to get it as square and consistent across the board as possible.

dland24 dland24 , before Opening Day, my boy’s girl says, “SF Giants might lose 90+ games but at least they have the ‘most handsome’ infield in all of baseball.”

Before opening day, your boy (me) bet under 74 wins for the Giants.

Tell your girl you will take her to SF so she can go to the game and admire the looks of our infield, while you and I go blackout at a whiskey bar.

MLB boxscore said attendance for that Marlins game yesterday was 6,500. Marlins: “we don’t believe you, you need more people.”

Seattle just got bad fans or what?

seattle fans looking at their roster for the year.....

and no, their fans aren't bad. it's the miami fans above being talked about as poor fans

I live in Miami (Born and raised in Chicago) and love baseball.. but when it’s 80 degrees on a Friday night during Spring Break & they got the Winter Music Conference with all the pool parties and Ultra Fest down here this weekend, the last place i want to be is at a baseball game.:lol::lol:

The Nats look like they've never played baseball before this week ... I blame two things:

1) Davey Martinez is out of his league ... He consistently make poor decisions ... He doesn't have his team prepared and doing the basics well for a 2nd straight year ... I am out on Davey ...

2) No clear cut leader in the clubhouse who is actually worth a damn ... Zimmerman is supposed to be that guy but he showed up to spring training talking about how much of a nuisance the spring is ... Off to his classic abysmal start ...

I put $1K on the Nats under 89.5 ... Probably the easiest money I'll ever make ...

What is Aaron Boone doing with the lineup? It looks disjointed af. No way LeMahieu should be hitting 9th either. I guess it kinda worked cause he protected Tulo who got a HR, but he's a career .300 hitter...move his *** up. Gardner hasn't hit above .264 the last 5 seasons and is coming off a crap year hitting...he should be 9 (second leadoff).

Here's a good trivia nugget I heard on the Twins broadcast today...Jose Berrios and Jake Odorizzi are the 2nd pair of starters since 1893 to record 10 or more strikeouts in the 1st two games to start a season. The only other combo to do it was Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling in 2001.

Classic baseball stat though. :lol

So far, Moncada looks incredible. Looks like a completely different player at 3B and way more comfortable all around. Hoping he can keep it up

Nats need to shape up and start playing some crisp baseball. Doesn’t look like much has changed from last year. Martinez should be on a short leash. Given the talent he inherited, there’s no way the Nats should be 82-82 with him as manager.
