2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

BTW, I know John mentioned a while back that Clark Kent had a number of SB CWs made up with AF1 soles. Here are pics of them if anybody was curious.

I remember seeing those pics. At the time I got all excited cause' I thought it was gonna be a special pack or something... But no. DJ Clark Kent is no mere mortal when it comes to AF1s...

If anyone is still looking for the 3M dunks from a few months ago, fishbone apparel has a sz12 and sz7.5 for sale for 109.95 plus ship.

Sole swap?

Nah, they were specially made up for CK.

He's essentially one of their head brand ambassadors, especially for the AF1.

He's definitely no mere mortal when it comes to AF1s. But, I'm sorry to say that I think he's gotten a bit corny recently. I really used to like CK - and of course, he gets mega props for producing joints like Brooklyn's Finest, Cashmere Thoughts, I Can't Get With That, Sky's the Limit, and don't forget "Nika" by Lil Vicious. But, he's gone from being a celebrity who loves sneakers to a sneaker celeb. He promotes all kinds of BS on his IG account, and most kids don't realize that half of those are essentially sponsored advertisements. Sneaker celebs are the worst!!

He knows his stuff though and was really the lone voice of reason in that selecting the top 100 AF1s of all time. I just wish he'd fall back a bit and act more like the humble and wise dude he is at his core.

FTR, there are dudes in the Team AF1 thread, including but not limited to myself, whose collections of vintage AF1s could go toe to toe with any sneaker celeb out there.

Who you are at your core doesn't mean diddly unless you show it on the outside. I don't follow Clark Kent or like AF1s (though I am familiar with his production work, which he definitely has my respect for), but with most guys, it takes giving them some fame and status to see what type of person they really are. The real cats keep it the same, the fakes change. And that doesn't just go for "celebs". It's the same for high school ball players, the top earner for a company, cats on these message boards, etc.

What's kinda weird with Clark Kent is that he's arguably more famous for his sneaker collection than his beat-making; that's especially true to these 90's babies, I'm sure. I just find that a little odd. One day, I imagine it'll be the same for Michael Jordan; kids will know him more for his shoes than his ball-playing, because they won't have any memories at all of him playing ball. For a similar scenario, when I think of Jerry West, the first thing that comes to mind is the NBA logo, not his ball-playing. That's probably nuts to a guy who grew up when he was actually playing. Just some food for thought...

bunch of good stuff on discount right now, will have to pull the trigger on some this week.

RD is coming up and so far I only know 1 store that will have them here in LA for the "HF's". Are these really a GR?

I thought we agreed to refer to them in code "Penguins"

:rollin

Kids were calling the Jordan XI concords "Oreo Spacejams".

My local said they're releasing them on 4-20, but I never have any luck with them anyway. Dude also said quite a few people have been inquiring about them, not just the 'regulars'.

Oreo Spacejams... WTF.

Yeah, it's getting bad with the hype buildup. On @nikestore's twitter feed, in the past day already a couple people have asked about them. And Brooklyn Project's twitter gets asked on the regular if they're doin' phone orders for 'em (sometimes within hours of answering the same question)... Bad signs, bad signs...

BTW: Supremes at an Outlet store = Finding-a-$100-on-the-ground Awesome

Surely this can't be buyer's remorse for people who missed out on the Concord XI's. The McRads, When Pigs Fly, Black History Month lows, and just about every other recent quickstrike release look better than these and they're still sitting somewhere as we see every week. I feel like there won't be any resell value on these no matter how many hypebeasts come out in droves. If anything the market will be flooded and cats will be trying to break even within a month. I can't wait until the shoe game officially dies. I know resellers personally who are feeling the squeeze now. People aren't even copping for retail let alone resell.

Not to be a d-bag, but buyers remorse is when someone buys something and then regrets that purchase, not when they miss out on buying something and then want to buy the next thing that looks like the thing they missed out on. FYI. And I'm not an expert on the SB resale market, but I imagine these will be pretty easy to get off, at least for the first couple weeks. I don't think we'll really be able to know the resale value on these until we know how many pairs there are.

I know they're on sale at primitive..
But sneakerhead.com has a FSR of the sequioa's for retail if primitive dosent have your size..
They'll probly also go on sale soon...

Honestly I hope Nike floods the market with the "Concords" and they are everywhere (not because I want them either, no interest in this shoe at all)... but maybe John can drop some knowledge on us as to GR numbers on a shoe like the Concords. Is it like any other GR shoe, just with extra hype? or do they limit numbers even though it's a GR?..... Can't wait to see that chair gif. lol

i don't see the appeal, but would love some trade bait if possible. Sounds bad I know, but whatever.

I should have used consolation prize but they aren't even that to me.
