Its the governments new found wealth. Growers have been wealthy for a long time. Politics aside, hemp isnt some demon material that they should deny using or admit to using. These really do look like hemp. Maybe they are a cotton/hemp blend so they can play both sides. They can be PC for advertising and the end user gets "weed" shoes.

yeah I dont think I had ordered from them before so I can't be sure, but I think they used to be under the ftl umbrella no? I was expecting the bag treatment, but was pleasantly surprised.

Interesting description of the hemps on premier.

On Saturday, Nike SB will be releasing a pack of shoes that feature raw canvas uppers. Both the Zoom GTS and Dunk Low Premium provide an unfinished aesthetic provided by undyed, unrefined Bamboo toned canvas...

So hemp is still not rulled out as the material.
