48÷2(9+3) =/= 48/2(9+3). Simple as that.

I swear OP changed the title of this, which originally read 48/2(9+3) and now reads 48÷2(9+3)... .... ...

Using PEMDAS, 48/2(9+3) = 48/2(12) = 576/2 = 288

---------As Modified-------------

48÷2(9+3) = 48÷2(12) = 48÷24 = 2

48/2(9+3) = 48/24 = 2 need to get back in math class; 48/2(9+3) =/= 48/(2(9+3))
