The reason ya'll are getting two different answers is because the difference in the division symbol used which would make one approach the problem different ways.
If you use the / symbol, the 48/ 2 appears to be a rational number (fraction) so one would automatically convert it into a whole number integer= 24.
When the ÷ is used, it is easier to see the problem broken up by terms and the order of operations (PEMDAS) rule is strictly used and you would multiply before you divide because M comes before D in PEMDAS
interpretation is based on the symbols used.

48/2 is the ratio, 24 times(9+3) multiply the whole prob by its reciprocal and see what u get

You must not be paying attention. I'd go back to around the 40s area and take a look around, there were quite a few people who switched from 288 to 2. Stop reposting this weak defense.
