ADIDAS BBall Boost Thread - BYW, Crazy Explosive & Crazy Light & OTHER BBALL ADJACENT SNEAKERS

adidas just signed JH to a $200 mil deal and he's wearing a shoe no one can buy.

maybe if these were available they may have sold some and adidas could start getting a return on their investment.

It's still only pre-season though, hell he only officially started wearing Adidas 10 days ago.

lol... yep, i know .... but adidas knew he was coming, hell they were even counting it down on twitter with the caption "The start of something special starts tomorrow"

.. would have been nice for them to actually do "something special" { like maybe make these white ones available } instead of just saying it.

Finally got the chance to hoop in the CL Boost 2015 yesterday and man are these shoes comfortable. Reminds me of the Kobe 8 with that low to the ground feel which is one of my favorite hoops shoes of all time. Thought the primeknit upper was much better than the EM/Flyknit with how pliable it was and wasn't as rigid. Only complaint would the lack of forefoot cushioning which I think I can alleviate by playing with my orthotics and the somewhat iffy traction. Had to wipe every so often on a dead ball. Otherwise love this shoe. Will be stocking up on them.

Def agree with the kobe 8 reference

What orthothics you use? I find that switching the insoles feel much better than using whatever they come with. Except for kobe 8 & 9 where I dont have a choice.

Anyone know how long the adiprene generally last? Somewhere between micro g and lunarlon?

Both Jeremy Lin PEs are real sweet. As a Hornets fan, I'll prob pick up a pair when they release (if they do). More so for the colorway than the Jeremy Lin factor, but his logo is a nice touch.

I'm the opposite I like the Lin logo and as a supporter lol. Not crazy about their colors. The Home colorway is the most I could do, either white/teal or white/purple.

Some folks recommended replacing the insoles with some DRose insoles but i didnt have any Drose's so I replaced the stock insoles with some Roshe insoles and they feel 10x better.

I've been playing with these in my rotation for a month and right now these are my favourite shoes to play in. Not the best but the most fun to play in. Primeknit + Boost is money. These are ultra light and breathable.

However, they do lack cushion and volume up front. Being almost 30 I can't wear these for longer than 1-1.5h sessions. The also lack some support and the outsole-midsole combo is a bit too flexible. A insole swap could fix these, even more extreme could be if I found a pair of insoles with some extra support in the midfoot.

I still continue to put these first in my gym bag for 1h playing sessions and can't wait what Adidas has planned for James Harden. Finally Nike is getting some serious competition, first from UA and now Adidas.

I'm curious what others think but I would say that Adiprene gives you around the same life as Micro G.  In between that and Lunar may be a good comparison.  Trying to think back on the last true adiprene shoe that I played in and how long it lasted for me.

I used to play in pro model 2gs.. They were adiprene and had a lot of bounce to them. I only played outdoors in them and I'd say they lasted longer than any lunarlon shoes I've had. I haven't played in a shoe with micro g long enough to tell how fast it goes. Micro g shoes don't feel as low to the ground as adiprene or lunarlon.

Edit: I was also a lot younger, lighter and faster when I wore those promodel 2gs. I could have and would have played in anything at that time. Lol

Good to know. Ill feel safer stocking up on these than kobe 8s for durability

Foot Locker and Eastbay got these two on back-order until the 21st.

I finally got around to ordering these. I'll post pictures as soon as they come in. It came up to around $93 shipped. Footlocker charges shipping for these.

I would have but I had a footlocker giftcard! I don't think it works on eastbay. I could be mistaken.

Ah well. Thanks for the advice though.

Was at the rockets preseason game tonight. Still wearing the all white CL boosts

Are the all whites releasing?
^ Haven't found any info so far that they would.

For yesterdays bball session I replaced the stock outsole from these shoes with a basic 7.99€ "sports" outsole that has more volume and more support going a bit more around the midfoot. The shoe felt much better right away. I'm really stunned how cheap and flimsy the stock outsoles are. A little bit more support and a more stable outsole would have made this shoe even better.

However, I love these shoes more everytime I play in them. They're my goto-shoe right now and I might order more pairs only if Adidas would release better colorways. Those stock team colorways just don't do it for me. The colorways are more limited here in Europe. I really wanted to find that Wiggins home PE but so far it isn't available here.

@XplosiveJeff  agreed, those are looking excellent

@The red model  where did you buy the glue on poron?  Great idea with that, curious to know how that works out long term!  Also -- did u use some sort of super glue? Thanks in advance

The toe is 3M too. It pops in certain lights. They remind me of the Sage NikeLab Flyknit Chukka FSB. I'll take another pic when i get home.

@iks mod   I bought a roll a couple of years ago when I was experimenting with replacement soles for the kobe 8.

I think this is the link from what I remember:

Amazon product ASIN B00A29UJ28.

It feels pretty good and does change the fit a bit as well. I used a hot glue gun to attach it. It works fast and its a strong enough bond for this purpose.
