Had my eye on these for a bit now, and just got the black pair.

After reading all the Roshe comparisons and finally getting them on feet, this shoe is actually a much, much closer comparison to the Nike Solarsoft Mocassin.

Both have that super spongy foam midsole/outsole, which feels great with walking/casual use, but almost immediately bottoms out with running or any high impact strike. So definitely not recommended for anything other than walking around. The upper on the Pure boost is way better materials and construction than the Solarsoft Moc.

This is a better shoe than that all around, but it's also double the price.

I haven't really noticed a "bottoming out" feeling in the Pure Boosts, granted I haven't done anything too serious in them but that's pretty surprising since Boost tech itself is meant for running.

How do you clean the boost foam? I've tried magic eraser and other conventional methods, but nothing works well

^I would recommend trying 90% (or as high as you can find) isopropyl rubbing alcohol and a towel, just get it damp don't drench it. Wouldn't recommend it for most kicks but since there's no paint or anything you should be fine.

Mine have seen the inside of a washing machine ...

Got these this afternoon and I must say, these are the most comfortable shoe i have ever worn! The lunarlon is no match against the boost. Hopefully the boost doesn't wear out as fast as the lunarlons.

Any word on when the Y-3 SS15 will be available for retail? Really want those Qasa boosts!

Probably around November or December.

I don't really think it'll bottom out from just walking, I mean the sole was made for heavy running so for walking (which this shoe is made for) then I think the it'll even outlast the sole w/o bottoming out.

I don't own a pair yet though so that is just a guess, never really had any shoe bottom out just from walking.

I think over time, sure, you might experience some sort of breaking down of the Boost, just like any shoe. But one of the best things about the tech is its durability and its ability to maintain function/shake in extreme temperatures. Definitely not going to wear out as quickly as Lunarlon.

Loving my boost's, these shoes are amazing been wearing them everywhere. In terms of the cushioning the boost technology was developed to perform consistently over time and not lose its cushioning properties like other cushions such as Lunarlon. We all know and love Lunarlon but its one major con is that is does eventually bottom out over time. Curious to see how the Boost Cushioning holds up over time, so far so good.

Need these

Anyone have coupon codes to lower the price ?

For those questioning how long the Boost foam will last...

An employee at adidas ran 1000 miles in his Energy Boosts...after those 1000 miles they tested his shoe against a Brooks, Nike, and Asics shoe...the Energy Boost tested better than those three (after 1000 miles) than a brand new pair of those brands in terms of durability, support, energy return, etc...

the tread on the bottom of the soles lasted that long after that much heavy use? wow. Running to my local FTL to cop now lol.

^no, he's talking about the Energy Boost, which is actually made for running. I doubt that the Pure Boosts would hold up that well.

oh yea you're right. the soles on the energy boosts are most definitely made for that kind of abuse. i guess i'm going to have to cop both and find out. I saw the energy boosts on sale at the adidas outlet for $110 but I wonder if they will go any lower than that.

You can't lose with either model in my opinion, just wanted to make sure you knew before you went and copped em!
