Usually pretty active in this thread on release day, but I laid low this time around from being a bit underwhelmed by this colorway. Said to myself, "If I cop, cool, if not, no sweat." Ended up copping my size via ADC. Confirmation e-mail took awhile, but I eventually got it.

I don't think there's anything wrong with acknowledging that. Lot's of shoes (grails) are status symbols within the community, Yeezy's are just what the general public considers a special shoe.

ANY good's market value is determined by the demand and, in turn, the price people are willing to pay for it.
The high market value of a product is what makes them a status symbol.
Yeezys might have a low MSRP but they have a very high market value, as such. So even if you get lucky and cop for retail, you are leaving the money on the table had you sold them.. As someone else mentioned, some people cop to flip to pay rent because they need this money more than the shoes.

I'll be honest. To me, these shoes are downright ugly. Ain't knocking fans of these, you see i'm just in it for the heck of it.
I've yet to actually hold a pair, hence my curiosity.
That's it; it's simply the intrigue, although i wouldn't be shocked if i sold em off.
