something that i just thought about last night that has been bugging me...

If Kanyes homie Virgil Abloh could start a line on his own based on Kanye affiliation alone, how did Kanye need to team with Adidas or any other brand to start a label?

doesnt really add up lol.   i still like the line tho, better be reasonably priced tho or its all pointless cuz pieces like these can be found in several other labels

It'll probably be reasonably priced, reasonably priced compared to designers though. It literally is stuff already EVERYWHERE.

I think he likely went with adidas was like many other said for manufacturing costs, but also, he likely wants it to be a collaboration between himself, a 'designer' and a brand. Even Yohji Yamamoto's line with adidas, y-3, is not his highest end brand or most expensive, but it made it more accessible.

He's using adidas to launch himself to be more attainable for his fans, for now, likely eventually going to try and venture off into a solo line at some point.
