Well it was all I could think of - but I forwarded him my confirmation email from an email of mine that had my actual name in the address and added a picture of a photo ID that had a hand written note next to it stating that I was unable to attend the show but planned on brining (fill in persons name you're giving ticket too) and signed it and put down my phone number for any questions.
It's worth a try, especially since he lives real close to the venue in Chicago, just wanted to help someone out instead of wasting the tickets.
