it seems like YS always has dumb limited stock/fake sellouts, and ADC is a more accurate measure of how many pairs are available

Definitely intentional, Adidas is waging psychological warfare against us all.

1. Sale starts on YS.
2. People on the fence watch from the sidelines. Resellers reply to every tweet they come across with "bricks".
3. YS inexplicably sells out of every size in 10 minutes.
4. People in step 2 start getting FOMO. The inexperienced resellers start second-guessing themselves. "Maybe these aren't bricks after all", they think. Everyone scrambles to enter the Adidas App raffle.
5. Adidas sells more pairs because they made the release seem more desirable.

This helps Adidas 2x - product didn't sit on YS for super long before getting pulled, and they can make the app release seem like a sell out no matter how many people actually entered. Then a few months from now, they'll have an exclusive access drop to sell the returns/remainder.
