A nice coat is an investment if you live somewhere it's needed. A good leather or wool coat will literally last a life time.
Same goes for nice leather boots and shoes as well... we here are so used to spending hundreds of dollars on disposable shoes that literally fall apart on their own after a decade.

I guess it depends on what youre looking for? For me it’s about the weight. I can’t speak for luxury materials but I haven’t owned a hoodie that has some real weight to it that didn’t feel premium and durable. Same goes for flannel.
