Air Jordan 1 Retro '97 TXT (AJ I x AJ XIII hybrid) 01/01/2013

all combo shoes are trash.. all of them, from these, to the fusions, to the spizikes, 6 rings, dub zero.. all trash.. they need to stick with the OG line and maybe further continue the team jordan brand sneakers.. like the Jordan Jumpman Team One or Team J. cause these are all garbage
 
I certainly won't buy a pair at full retail, but these could become solid beaters if I could get them on sale or at an outlet.

Overall I don't really like these at all, especially that toe box. Looks like pleather in that pic.
 
Had some potential, but have to agree. That toebox is kind of bleh. Will wait to pass full judgement in-person. I just feel like I've seen SO many AJ1s and Phats in the past year or two that just sit on the shelves, all due to atrocious CWs and/or materials.
 
Was it ever mentioned when the 10 white old royal released what the TXT means? Is this a true retro 1 or a hybrid like a Spizike or AJF?
