IDK honestly, I’m guessing they decided to be cheap. I heard some playoffs came in the Jordan black/ gray box but I’ve honestly never seen a pair in one.

If memory is correct. The Nike box that came with the black reds were from recycled materials. Nike was on that kick at the time. Thats why they went to that box I believe.
