Sweet find! But I'm glad the II's came out the way they did.

I could see how this could be a possible follow up to AJ I for designers.

1. Clear AJ I influence. Also present is Air force II or Reebok trainer type influnce, very popular at the time.

2. The removal of a swoosh on the shoe could have been an early step towards a "Brand Jordan." Although there is still a Nike wings.
