Yea not really feeling the crackling parts but they are still a good looking shoe. 1614880297895961675241430722530.jpg

I live in pico Rivera , prob 10 min from Cerritos mall. That store is selling Jordan 1 reverse breds lows that keep restocking every week , and cost I believe $90 for $300 ... they selling mochas for near $700 . I can see why those people walked away . They straight try to rip people off. They probably offered retail for taupe 4s and then try to sell to people for $500 . People that don’t know any better will buy them

The bigger resale stores here in LA (cool kicks, rif LA , actually have better deals than most of these mom n pop stores in local malls. I get that they need to make money, But come on $300 for $90 Jordan low reverse bred is a joke. So just imagine what they charging for really hyped shoes

Thanks for elaborating and perhaps educating me inadvertently about how the resale game works although I wasn't comfortable with it already.

I understand stores have to make profit. But I agree it's repulsive when they try to low-ball to the extreme compounded with marking up prices astronomically to maximize profit.

Yeah, I saw red flags with Swish Studios when I saw a worn pair of 2015 Aqua VIII in my size for $375! It just had an unfavorable vibe for me when I walked in there and inquired with the worker.

That's why I'll just stick to corporate stores instead of resale stores because corporate has set prices that I prefer whereas resale is whatever they dictate which will most likely price me out.

I actually walked into Cool Kicks last summer. The gentleman I spoke to was really nice and informative about how they deal.

But I think I'm better off trying to sell my excess crap online on a reputable platform because I don't have to deal with low-balling since I'm setting the price. I prefer the "You get what you negotiate." logic my good friend came up with so many years ago if I go that route.

The secondhand business has been detrimental to sellers historically whether it was used CDs and cassettes, video games, and cars because dealers never gave fair market value even if the product was in good condition and/or had reasonable demand. I feel secondhand shoes would fall in the same vein.

And unless they're truly "worn once", used shoes have an additional gross factor. The used shoes I've sold on ebay were essentially new, but worn once or twice so can't be sold as such, and I reduced the price appropriately to what I felt was reasonable.

For real though! Gross factor is the perfect way to think about used shoes.

That's nice and reasonable of you to price accordingly predicated on condition.

I'm glad I stuck with my skepticism about the overall schematics of that store based on what I saw and what Serp1075 Serp1075 expounded on about them.

When they wanted $375 for those clearly worn 2015 Aqua VIII, I want to say that was my deal-breaker with them. That price wasn't justifiable for me in that condition despite needing them now to wear with the 1993 NBA All-Star Game Jordan jersey I have. I don't mind being assed out for passing on them in 2015 and having to wait for a feasible future rehash of them now.

Honestly thats probably a fair trade, imo I think they made out a little better but all in all if you had a random 11 sitting around and your a 13 more power to you lol. My homie traded a ds pair of carmines for a pair of taupes both 14. He got over lol

its all good I have 2 sz 13 1 sz 9 and 2 7.5 royal toes for times like this.

Man I panicked bought yesterday at 325+ 20$ shipping. Hate being impatient. I see size 11 going to be under 290$ once people panic buy the unc 1’s. I should of waited SMDH

Well, my delusion is that NT DM function is not working b/c I haven't received any messages from anyone willing to oop me a 10.5....How can that be? ;-)
I can back that up. No DMs and no replies on my classified post. NT I’m sure there are tons of people trying to get us these pairs for retail + shipping. Gotta get this fixed. 🤣

Oh man “$300” in Stock-X = $350! These taxes and fees are killer.
StockX double dip fee + state sales tax (if your state has it) kills any chance at decent prices. I keep the app just gauge how hard getting a shoe will be but haven’t bought from them since December 2019.

Damn. Where is this size 11 for under 290? Im still hunting for a clean and even looking pair.
And no responses to my dm's either guys. We are all delusional i guess.

I remember you had your size saved when you click on one of the screens on the app For checking out

now you have to pick your size does anyone else notice this
It’s been like this for awhile now
That’s more time you lose by going through this to pick your size

Since i already had this shoe I had an option of picking up another pair this morning for $300 but I passed on it
The theory is if it's a "unisex" shoe, it won't pre-select your size. By unisex, I mean that the sizes are labeled for men and women, which seems to be the norm now for Nike.
