While that's true, I know myself and others would much rather wait an extended period of time to secure a shoe 100% for our collection vs what's being done now. If more companies started doing preorders, you would kill off A LOT of resellers. Most resellers don't have the patience and or capitol to purchase something they can't sell for 6 months or longer. Values could be different by then, so it would again make resellers less likely to buy up all the stock and give real heads a chance.

Anyone asking for a preorder should take a look at the ALD thread or any of ALDs social media accounts from like 3 or 4 months ago from the 1300s. Nothing but people complaining and filing chargebacks when it wasn’t even past the deadline in the announcement. Shameful and wouldn’t be surprised if they never do it again because of it.

That's not a good example. That preorder went into effect during the pandemic so it should be taken with a grain of salt.
A good example is the Yeezy 700 preorder.
