Didn’t they buy the company and own the formula? I’ve thought about this over the years and come to the conclusion they bought it to kill anyone else using it again.
Think about it, that durabuck ages much better and lasts way longer. Planned obsolescence is crucial to Nike’s revenue and not using it is probably the better move for the bottom line.
