Serious question (because I don't even know what "talent" is anymore).

Can't ESPN just find the next hype man who screams and trolls and is propped up on every show as their new expert and replace Smith at 20% his salary? Is his position not fairly interchangeable?

I guess trying to figure out how one leverages his worth to the tune of $20 million a year and LIKELY getting it.

Not fairly difficult to find someone with the ability to be loud while also not knowing anything about sports.

What do they lose if they let him walk? Ratings for a 10am-12 pm show? It’d be a win for them not having to pay his inflated salary anymore.

Just happened to switch over to ESPN and saw SVP talking to Stuart's daughters and I didn't realize who they were at first.

That segment was on for a bit before IT came to that last part which sent me on feels trip.

Almost 10 years since he died.

Crazy.
