All of those guys are horrible, you couldn't pay me to watch any of them together or apart.Anyone else befuddled at the fact they put shannon sharpe and max kellerman alongside Skip n Stephen A Smith ? Nothing against them but those are some boring dudes with vanilla takes . you need a "love-to-hate personality" on these shows .
I think espn should have bid higher on cowherd n put him alongside Screamin
And put whitlock with bayless .
Seems like a better dynamic then the hot trash they got on now
ESPN mulls moving Mike Greenberg from Mike & Mike to own morning TV show
SI.com has learned that ESPN executives are exploring moving Mike Greenberg—one half of the long-running Mike & Mike radio show on ESPN Radio—into a new role as the lead host of a television show that would air between 6–10 a.m on ESPN. The new show would potentially have elements of SportsCenter—which currently airs at that time—as well as a traditional morning show. Such a move would put an end to end to Greenberg’s on-air partnership with Mike Golic, which began in October 1998. Mike & Mike currently airs weekdays on ESPN Radio from 6–10 a.m. ET and is simulcast on ESPN2.
It’s important to note these are exploratory talks. No decision is final yet, as ESPN management has been discussing different scenarios to reengineer its morning SportsCenter show.
...
If you want a singular snapshot of SportsCenter’s morning viewership: Last Thursday SportsCenter drew 269,000 viewers from 6–7 a.m.; 307,000 viewers from 7–8 a.m.; 277,000 viewers during the 8–9 a.m. hour, and 263,000 from 9-10 a.m. Mike & Mike averaged 289,000 on ESPN2 during the same period. No doubt some in management would postulate that a Greenberg-fronted show could draw more than the current SportsCenter if it moved from ESPN2 to ESPN. If such a show comes to fruition, expect opinion-oriented talent (perhaps from CAA, which represent Greenberg) to join him.
Who were the only dudes he said he was cool with in the NBA?Enjoyed Woj's podcast with Pat Beverley. Very raw.
dont blame him...KD tats are clownish and kinda weirdKD & Nas episode was pretty good. Nas did not seem impressed with KDs tattoos
yea bill goin bill... either you like him or you don't..
wish he would stick to NBA more though.. and liked when he would have guys like jalen and/or Zach lowe around
I don't think much of his nfl "experts" that were at grantland and now at the ringer, sooooo that kinda hurt them stepping into the Zach lowe role to kinda temper his extreme.. chris brown is good though, so there is hope, but he needs a bigger role on that front
Bill on a lil streak , good episode on hbo , lombardi on fridays is awesome and titus is getting a college basketball podcast .
Seems to be finding his form after espn
Michael Smith, Jemele Hill to Co-Host 6 p.m. ET SportsCenter Starting in February
Popular Commentators Sign New, Multi-Year Deals to Remain with ESPN
Program to Include Commentary, Interaction, Guests, News, Highlights
Capitalizing on the personality-driven His & Hers program and continuing a successful SportsCenter trend, ESPN will launch a reimagined version of the 6 p.m. ET SportsCenter next year led by popular ESPN commentators Michael Smith and Jemele Hill.
Hill and Smith, who have signed new, multi-year deals to remain with ESPN, will take over as co-anchors of the 6 p.m. SportsCenter on February 6, 2017, the day after Super Bowl LI. They are currently co-hosts of His & Hers on ESPN2.
Lindsay Czarniak, currently the anchor of the 6 p.m. SportsCenter, will go on maternity leave in early November and return next year in a new, featured role that will be announced later. During Czarniak’s absence, the 6 p.m. program will be hosted by Zubin Mehenti, Matt Barrie and other current SportsCenter anchors until Smith and Hill’s debut.
“Jemele and Michael have unique chemistry and impressive journalistic credentials, and we look forward to bringing their entertaining mix of perspective and passion to SportsCenter,” said Rob King, ESPN senior vice president, SportsCenter and News. “Just as we did with the one and only Scott Van Pelt, we’ll build a new version of our program that amplifies all that makes them special.
“This is another major step in the evolution of SportsCenter,” he said. “With SportsCenter:AM, SportsCenter: Face to Face with Hannah Storm, SportsCenter Coast to Coast and Scott’s midnight show, we’re designing shows to match SportsCenter with audiences and their needs and interests at various times of day. It’s our biggest brand within ESPN, and it’s a great forum for some of our biggest personalities.”
Smith and Hill will merge the best aspects of His & Hers and SportsCenter in the new 6 p.m. program. The show’s format will be conversational and interactive, covering multiple topics, with commentary and opinion from Hill and Smith. And just as the 6 p.m. SportsCenter has always done, the program also will set up big sports events of the night with newsmaker and analyst interviews as well as bringing viewers the latest sports news and highlights. In September of 2015, Van Pelt brought some elements from his former radio program to the midnight edition when it launched,
In addition, the revamped SportsCenter will follow the pattern of Van Pelt’s program with segments produced for both the television audience and to maximize digital and social sharing.
“What makes this next step perfect for us is that we don’t have to become something we’re not,” said Smith. “We have the complete support of everyone here to be who we are, and carry on the things that made His & Hers a successful show, and us a successful pair.
“We feel as if we’ve been building toward this, even though neither one of us ever saw ourselves as SportsCenter anchors. We hope to embed the culture and vibe we created on His & Hers into ESPN’s signature program.”
Hill and Smith will continue to host His & Hers for the immediate future with their final show date to be determined. An announcement about new programming will be forthcoming.
“This is just surreal for both of us,” said Hill. “For us to be associated with the cornerstone brand of ESPN is beyond thrilling. There is such a rich history and tradition associated with SportsCenter that it’s a little overwhelming, but we’re eager to leave our own mark.
“We’ve had a great run on His & Hers, and it will always be our first born and first love. It’s the core of who we are and we have no plans to abandon the chemistry and fun that is a hallmark of His & Hers. We’re just moving what we do to another significant platform and different time slot.”
You know ESPN and Bill are going to remind petty with each other. So Lowe can go on a Yahoo Sports podcast but not Bill's?
Zach also speaks about Bill. I think his most recent most watchable league pass team says something about bill^ I'm very surprised jalen & Jacoby haven't gotten some sort of memo about talking about dude..
Lebatard walks that line a bit too.. I guess bomani and dude never got down cause I never hear him speak of dude and never saw/heard anything with the 2 together
So Lowe can go on a Yahoo Sports podcast but not Bill's?
