I live in Texas and there are a ton of illegal immigrants around here.
Pretty much any labor intensive job is performed by migrant workers from the South.
One of the biggest reasons homes are so cheap here is the endless supply of cheap labor from South of the border.
Food costs are also cheap nationwide because of this.
I read articles about the cost that tax payers pay because of this here in Texas but I'm willing to bet good money that its they the benefits outweigh the negatives.
How can you complain of paying an average of $1127 extra in taxes per household here Texas while you have a lower cost of living that is directly impacted by the abundance of cheap migrant labor?
