with this whole "the market will offset the contract" argument.


LBJ clearly said prior to the Knicks game, he is NOT taking less than a max contract. I wouldn't use this to support my stance if it wasn't true.

Let him say something about getting a bigger Nike deal in NY...dudes would conveniently be all over that, quoting it up in here...
 
^^ yes, but the Knicks will STILL offer him max $. Nobody is denying that. He just gets the added bonus of the most marketable city in the world
