Good game tonight in the Garden, it just didn't happen for us on offense in the second half.

Sucked not having Dirk for offense and Marion for defense, but no excuses, both teams were banged up, and yall beat us up.

It's a shame that the next time we play yall Dirk/Amare still won't be back. Either way, should be another fun one in two weeks.

Melo misses an insane amount of layups

I think it just looks easier than it is on tv. He's going fast and getting hit most of the time too. He def doesn't get superstar calls every game. But it seems like a fixable part of his game

Definitely lost focus in the 2nd half of the 4th but it was a good game.

It's crazy to me that some of yall didn't want OJ on this team. Son was the only reason the Mavs stayed in this game. Also it's crazy that some of yall are still not appreciating JR, yeah still makes some bonehead plays but dude is keeping us with a nice lead when Melo aint scoring all the points.

Dallas is pretty stacked. Glad we pulled that out.

Don't expect it to be anytime in November. Dirk's original prognosis was about 3-6 weeks, but that's a very flexible number. He got the surgery about 3 weeks ago, and I'm leaning on him not taking the court until he's fully conditioned. Seeing as there have been no updates on him taking shots or anything, I'm guessing he returns around December 12th or so.

The Mavs can take it easy with his return because of the Mavericks next 15 games, the only teams that I expect to be an issue are New York, Cleveland, Chicago, and the Clippers. The rest of the teams range from the Bobcats and Suns, to the Kings, Pistons, and Wizards.

They'll be okay. They may not be contenders anymore, but once Dirk comes back then we can re-assess things.

Right now, the most important thing is to try and just find basketball games you can win, and battle like they did in the first half tonight, and try and squeak a few of them out.

Props to Melo for keeping his cool. Clearly Jones was in to get under his skin and he gave him an elbow to the ribs that went uncalled.

Game got ugly at the end with a lot of mavs playing goon ball but the knicks held.
