and we're done

Just because Dwight doesn't give him credit, doesn't mean Ewing hasn't helped him. Dwight doesn't say or do a lot of things that he should. He's done more to earn a HC job than Jackson.

Mark Jackson played point in the NBA. That gives him a little more insight into the game because he is an extension of the coach on the court. What has Pat done? Dwight doesn't give him credit for anything. If I was Par I'd take the HC job and work my way into the NBA.

Jackson has NO coaching experience. But by your rationale, I guess Brandon Jennings will get a coaching gig before Pat.

reaching homie. If Jennings has the kind of career action jackson did, then yes. he'll get a job faster than Pat. If you have experience running a team on the court, it should translate off the court. Pat hasn't given a HC job for a reason. Why do the Knicks need to?

It was a boneheaded hire by the Warriors. Just because you are a PG doesn't mean you are HC material right out of the gate. Again, Jackson had NO experience. You see respected b-ball minds (who are viewed as HC material) like Kevin Ollie serving an apprenticeship as an assistant. Same went for Avery Johnson before he got the gig in Dallas. What the Warriors did was unprecedented and an absolute head-scratcher. I'd be absolutely shocked if Jackson is still coaching in GS beyond this year.

As far as Ewing, it may be true that he doesn't have a HC job for a reason....but, IMO, he's more than paid his dues and is 10x more qualifed than someone like Mark Jackson.

:rollin @ saying Jennings would get a coaching job based on his rationale

I'm not defending Jackson's hiring but the guy was a coach's pg throughout his career.

I see what Los meant by his statement.

as for Ewings case he should have taken the job, unless he has better offer from another team. Sometimes you need to take a step back to take two steps forward.

Found this dope Forum for Jersey/Logo enthusiasts. Most of the comments on the new Knicks Jerseys are pretty much the same as here. Knicks tried blending history but at the same time tried to modernize it and threw history out the window (woodmark classic logo). Seriously man, our jerseys were a complete failure. We should have just gone back to pre 1997 jerseys instead of this. Future jersey designs should be voted New York Knick season ticket holders, only way this seems fair for the fans.

Thought this mock up of a modernized alternate jersey was kind of dope. I'd cop.

Melo looks slim on that cover

Those orange mocks are ill. I like the style of the jersey and the font much better. I've been wanting an orange alternate jersey for years. :smokin

Agree to disagree. IMO, running a team/offense on the court > having an offense run through you (in terms of experience and how it pertains to coaching)

look at MJ. Arguably the GOAT. Worst owner ever (And I think he'd suck as a coach too). The offense ran through him and he was a one man show when needed. He doesn't know how to build a team. In his mind he is probably thinking, "If i did it, why can't you? I won with Purdue and Kerr!". Again, IMO.

That is pretty nice

Ewing cant even get a job from his good friends. Clearly something is wrong with him. It isnt black and white

And if u really have love for pat you wouldnt want him anywhere near this team. We destroy careers

^That wasn't the story you was telling a while back :lol You were talking about how terrible it was that the Knicks haven't even offered Pat a job on some he can't even get a big man coaching job with us or be apart of the team in some way and I specifically said even if the Knicks did offer him a job he would refuse because he wants to be a head coach, not the big man coach, not an assistant, he don't want to lead the out reach program, be pres of PR, be Pres of Operations, or anything like that. Hell at this point I bet he wouldn't even show up if we said we were putting a statue of him in front of MSG. Now it's the Knicks that ruin careers.

The Knicks and Pat are just not on the same page right now and chances are he probably won't be the Knicks head coach in the future.
i swear every time I see Melo, he is gaining weight. I thought his goal was to lose weight this summer.....
You need to see him in person. I saw him at the Footaction on 34th and imo he needs to gain some muscle mass or there won't be much bully ball Melo this season, it'll be all finesse.
