i think because of how provocative tate has been, the perception of dude and what he says is taken more negatively than it needs to be…not much of what he says is really all that contentious or even original, he’s an opportunist that is definitely on that success grift wave with whatever his program is but his commentary on dating, intersexual dynamics/relationships, & the ‘sexual marketplace’ are things most would agree with or at very least understand if said with more nuance.
kevin samuels, fresh&fit, andrew rate, et al. type content is having a moment, why? there is definitely an entertainment aspect or even a contingent of dudes reveling in the indignation that it elicits but i also would say they all are/were talking, in some respect, about masculinity in a way that is counter to how many boys & men have been/are being told to operate specifically in regards to women but not limited to that; some of this can be new information given that many dudes were/are raised by women or lack male figures that would have imparted such info…
just like some women go around thinking life is a disney movie or a rom com when it comes to how they think relationships should work, dudes are also walking around delusional about relationships as well; so i don’t really understand the notion that just because a man is of a certain age there isn’t more to learn or change about how he operates going forward
