Been wanting to post some pictures from my China trip in August but seeing I always get beat by other NTer's throwing their trip pics up made me hesitant. Well, anyways here are my pictures. They are a mix taken from 10 different cities: Beijing, Xi'an, Nanjing, Shanghai, Wuxi, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Taishan(rep!), Kaiping, and Macau. This was my third time visiting China, and first as an adult. I must say this was a life changing experience for me as I am older and appreciate the culture, though I was still very ignorant on many Chinese norms and taboos but everything is a learning experience for me. We spent the first 1.5 traveling with 24 members of my family, a mix of 1st generation immigrants like my parents from Taishan, and many 2nd generation aunt and uncles along with their childern who do not even speak or understand any Chinese. And the last 1.5 weeks the 1st generationers went back to our home city of Taishan in south China where we paid our respects to our ancestors, visited friends and family, and partied hard every night! All in all it was quite the experience traveling with so many members of my family, probably something which will never happen again but appreciate the time I spent with everybody.
It was a great trip and miss every moment of it: food, culture, convienance of shopping, and of course the piaoliang chinese girls...haha. I now have a new found interest in "fob" type Chinese girls.
