Any way to get rid of "Recent Images In This Thread" in threads?

saw this feature pop up for the first time on my account yesterday. any way to get rid of it?

it comes up in the top right corner when i click on threads.

Along with that can we get rid of that alert at the top about checking your e-mail for verification? It annoys me greatly. I thought it would go away after verified my e-mail.

And also, anybody else's NT page turn white all of a sudden randomly like this?? It goes back to normal after a while. I was looking for that sun/moon button that was on yuku, but couldn't find it.

on a related note, is there any way to get rid of the "featured sponsors" box that you get when you're browsing a subforum? It forces the list of threads to only use up half the screen. 

If we can't remove it, can you guys at least fix the CSS so that it at least doesn't mess up other stuff like the size of the thread boxes?
