Double click the home button and just drag your finger up on the window that you want to force quit.

Are you sure you downloaded the right file? If you have a Sprint/Verizon iPhone it won't work with the ATT/T-Mobile file and vice-versa

yea I downloaded the A1428 *att* file, should I just use the "restore" and not the hold shift and click "update" method?

^ Clicking Restore doesn't work, not sure what's wrong. What's the extension at the end of your file? It should be .ipsw
