Man, DIAND is the opposite of showcasing Ross' lyricism. If you don't have cooledit pro so you can cut out his verse he basically ruined that entire song with his ramblings on what was going to be a great track.
 
Music Sales mean nothing in Hip-Hop anymore! Be real IllPhil, that's not really a sufficient measure of popularity right now.
But I'll agree with you about the businessman aspect.  IMO, if we are making comparisons, isn't Ross sort of like a Diddy who can spit?
 
How is sales not a sufficient measure of popularity?

Isn't that what "buzz" and publicity are supposed to generate? Cats don't just rap to give out free t shirts and do shows for 12 fans.

If it were 2000 yes.

In 2012 sales is really a measure of popularity in ONE single demographic. So no, it's really not a sufficient measure of popularity across the board.

I'm not saying Ross isn't popular though, just addressing the above.
