"Armed Forces Day" Air Force 1 AF1 - dropped May 17, 2008 (under the radar)

haven't found any info about this particular uptown yet, so i decided to take a few pics and put em up... these dropped today at my local Navy Exchange... apprently its military only... i tried to google it... but can't find any additional info...

Nike does this every once in a while, like last year with the quickstrike AM90... but usually (just like the QK AM90) the sneaker doesn't bring much tothe table....

IMO they put a better effort out this time... clean colorway... and decent leathers... not as "plastic-y" as are most GRs nowadays...

just thought it was worth mentioning...

appreciate the info went and copped. if anyone needs help gettin a pair, i can ATTEMPT to help, they had a full size run just now.

And this is exactly the problem with you kids these days.

These are straight, but a little more white in the shoe wouldn't hurt. Either that or all red.
 
most of the military releases are red/white-blue... So yeah, more red would have been waaay sick (equal parts red/white-blue is tired IMO).. But these areclean. Especially for the pricepoint.. And as far as quality/color/price goes, I don't think there's been a better af1 release in '08... Let'sbe real with it... if there were any decent sub-$75 af1 colorways they were probably ruined by being made of junk leather.. Not the case here
 
Nice pickup, sometimes u can find hidden gems at nex, bx/px etc...and at great prices no tax too damn.....
 
i saw 8.0 for sure... but there MIGHT be smaller... it looked like men's only..so 7.5 at the smallest
