Doesn't sound like that at all to me. Sounds to me like they use the word 'satan' as a metaphor, where you use 'satan' todescribe the being who is the polar opposite of 'God'.

Oh im not religious, im not a fan of religion overall, so i don't know why you went to christianity. Satanists are glorified atheists......it's more of a philosophy than a religion I suppose.

That's all I wanted to know, I wasn't trying to knock you for it, I just think some Satanists have their beliefs mixed up. You have to believe in Godif you believe in Satan.

And why "satan"? if you're going after a newmovement why base it on other religious beliefs, and then say it really has nothing to do with satan. That just seems intentionally provocative. And these"philosophies" are all things you could do on your own, i don't see why anyone would entrust their faith in it.


I feel like i should shepherd a Tony Robbins movement, cuz this is what it feels like. A motivational speaker taking his philosophies out and spreading themto the masses. Wait isn't that how religions begin?

That's what I'm saying, why even give yourself the title if you don't believe in the title your representing, why couldn't youjust say "I don't give a damn about religion, I'll do what the hell I want."

The Church of Satan is an organization dedicated to the acceptance of Man's carnal self, as articulated in The SatanicBible, written in 1969 by Anton LaVey.


Yes and the "religion" exists in part to challenge the judeo-christian faith (of which includes islam)....which is why"Satan" is used as a symbol. I have no problem with the judeo-christian faith......I do have a major issue with a lot of its followers tho.

why can't you just live life and not worry about afterlife or anyone out to get you? just live it! do as you please! obey laws which are helpful nothurtful.

i'mma just live my life and not associate my behavior with a deity or reason. I do me because this is what satisfies my human appetite. hell, 99% of thetime, i don't know what i want to do.

There are many Satanist religions/groups/cults....some literally worship the devil and believe in magic and the supernatural.

The key part of that to me was "obey laws". You follow a belief system and follow laws just like the rest of them.
