This is like my ideal type place.

Nothing fancy but picked up a couple small houseplants from Home Depot, definitely makes my place look nicer and more homey.

Plants are a must. I love greenery.

ha!  i was wondering if anyone would notice the two pianos.  long story there...  basically one was given to me for free.  and i do play, so i couldn't turn it down.  you're right, that is my official "dining room."  but i live by myself, so i don't have the need for a dining table.  so i just leave it open so that the living room becomes larger.

hreat thread I'm hoping this will be around for a while like that "dressing better" thread

don't think I could get away with that in my place though
Right on Dirty, I wasn't a fan of the wall glaze at first, but my dad wanted to do it. It's my first home, and I've been painting with my friend's for 3 years, so I know how a regular wall looks. It really has grown on me. My kitchen has an orange texture with dark brown cabinets. Man, the only draw back is that I can't pin anything against the walls now. And you have to be really careful, when you move stuff, cause one crack in the wall and you might have to do the whole thing over. I have to really pick out some nice pieces for my furniture for the room to stand out, and I plan on using live plants. This thread and HGTV has been giving me plenty of ideas.

TimCity2000, nice pad bro, I like the details. Nice thick baseboard and trim.

Nice post, definitely gotta get some plants too. These beach chairs in fornt of the flat screen arent cuttin it anymore lol, jus playing. But some good ideas on here

Just recently finished furnishing my place. I just need to frame my lithographs/photographs and hang them up.

I bought the majority of my furniture @ Room & Board for my bedroom. I purchased the Anders style bed, dresser and nightstand in Walnut. I purchased the industrial style mirror & file cabinet from there as well. The ottoman is from Room & Board's Townsend collection which I feature in my living room. (However my desk is from CB2.)

My living room is below.

I just attached my Pioneer Elite Pro111fd to a Sanus mount. It is a full motion mount that can move from 3"-26" from the wall and way from left to right and tilt as well.

The two couches on the left are from the Room & Board Townsend collection, as well as the ottoman. It's wrapped in a soft microfiber that doesn't stain. The other couch on the right is from CB2 that folds out into a twin sized bed.

My dining table (72" long) is from the Room & Board Anderson collection. It is walnut, as are the chairs.

My surround sound is hidden throughout the room and it is attached to my turntables (numark ns7's) that run through my Mac.

That black bench is the perfect tool to whisper good somethins in your lover's ear, after a hot date.

There is some good stuff in this thread. When I get home I will have to post pics of my place as well.

Tim, where did you get your framed artwork from?
