, can't get down with Crate & Barrel, definitely a store for people that talk about how much they spent on things.
That restoration coffee table, blah, opening a Civil War museum in your living room brah!  It's too much money for something extremely gaudy.

Anyway, I'm looking for artwork, a couple of pieces...something along the lines of street art Banksy/Justin Bua.  Someone posted some solid artist, one I really liked but forgot

i like the tv stand from restoration is nice but the stuff from CB is way too much. West helm, ashley and so many other places have nice stuff for way less than half the price

Quik1987 info on that bed and lounge chair? My offer on a condo was accepted not too long ago and if all goes well I'll be moving in by early May! This thread is giving me lots of ideas for furniture and other ways to start furnishing my place. It's not huge but nice for my first place.

Way to generalize. I guarantee you 80% of the stuff you guys are all
eek.gif
over came from restoration and crate barrel. It's quality furniture. Has nothing to do with status because Crate and Barrel is nowhere near as expensive as other retailers can be.
Itsabouttime...look for a restoration hardware outlet in your state. I bought a Portman rectangular dining room table there for $199 on clearance with an additional 20% at the time with AAA. Now its only 10% but it helps with tax. Also, check craigslist for sectionals. I've gotten a good portion of my crate barrel furniture for 70%-80% off. I bought a nice coffee table that retailed for $500 for $30 on CL.

yea man if it's not spring break or grad trip time, where everything is overboard easy to find or things are planed to a T.. then nassau and the bahamas on the whole is about the friends you go with.. the scenery is there, just have to make the most of it..

but if you're coming back just PM me.. let me know

yea man it's rough.. because of hurricanes, i'm replacing the windows and the sliding glass door that is there now with storm frame impact windows.. which is going run be just under 15k.. and then getting my flooring done is going cost me over 5k

but luckily i got a good deal on my place, since i got it directly from the bank before they really advertised it on the market

So had a little demolition go on this week. Also had my brother lay polythene under the house for extra insulation. No bodies!

I wouldn't be caught dead under there. Especially with the daily earthquakes we stay having.

Couple pics of where the dividing wall between the kitchen and day room used to be and then the wee makeshift laundry I've had built. And the *%!@ off gigantic hallway down the length of the house.

There's a place just down the road that specialises in coloured glass so I'm going to see if I can get another yellow pane to match the existing. ones. It's right on the boundary so clear float glass isn't an option.

Saw this the other day, neat idea/use of a pallet.

By the time I remembered to take a pic I was about half way done taking it down. but trust me it didn't look nice. I had pieces from different closets/dressers.
So before...

and yes that's Lightning McQueen slippers above my sons Jordan's.

He wanted to put it there since the rest of the shoes were up there...

Feedback ?

Thinking of changing out that small dresser and getting a smaller version of the the shelves and setting up my sons clothes in there...

if this is yours, that set up is

.  the minimalist style is nice. I don't really care for art and hate non functional furniture so this set up is dope.

info on the bed

That Ikea malm bed frame looks pretty nice. Anyone here have a frame frm Ikea? If so what are your thoughts?

Are those Ikea pieces big man certified in terms of durability? Also, they make accompanying peices too right like dresser drawers and night stands too, right? If I get a new bed, I'll have to get the whole new set
