I'm staying at the El San Juan. The weather is not looking too good, but it should be a crazy weekend. Has anyone been there? What are the strip clubslike? Anyone know any hole in the wall restaurants that are great? Thanks for any help guys.

The ESJ was a couple spots down where I stayed on my honeymoon. I can't remember if that was the one that was really fancy for the lobby area or not. Westayed at the Intercontinental, it was nice.

I didn't hit up any clubs or anything, but a good place to get breakfast was right across the street in a strip mall area. It was down a couple spots fromthe UPS store. We ate there every morning due to the great prices and fresh made food. You should def check out Old San Juan, it was amazing to see, and I wishI could have spent more time taking pictures of the old fort by the ocean. They have some good outlet places there too if you want to do some shopping. It's a nice section where we stayed, but you venture a few miles east or west and it turns kinda run down looking.

Don't go to the mall in Carolina, it sucked.

If you're white, be prepared to be looked at funny.....

Eat were the locals eat for best food and prices(look for lines) and Bacardi is dirt cheap outthere, so 151 all night. The women are amazing! I have never seen more beautiful women in my life! especially at Plaza Las Americas.

alot of fly women, but watch out for the 15 year olds looking like they 20. oh yeah wear a cap for sure

So basically AIDS, a little spot near the UPS in a strip mall for breakfast and cocaine? Sounds like its going to be a good trip.

that breakfast spot right by the UPS store in that strip mall is the truth! ham egg and cheese ftw.

you may want to go to isla verde/condado. its more of a party section and has more contemporary spots. i stayed there like 4 years ago when i was on springbreak in college and it seemed a lot more lively. though i believe the ESJ throws parties downstairs. theres tons of bars and a huge casino throughout.

the last 2 times i've been to PR i've stayed at the intercontinental which is like 2 hotels down from ESJ. its a nice quiet neighborhood but not muchto do outside of the resort area.

old san juan is nice and has decent night life, just wear comfortable shoes. those cobble stone hills are no joke!

hope this helps and congrats!

There's also a good cigar shop in old san juan by the shops, its Ku-En Cigar Palace. He even has his own cigars that's made with tabacco from his ownland.

Glad to see a fellow NT know about that breakfast spot. The ham or bacon egg and cheese and a medium/large espresso was crucial each morning. There is also alunch/dinner spot that was close to the UPS store as well that was pretty good. It was really bust most of the time. There's a sports style bar down by theESJ that we ate at, it wasn't anything special, so I would skip that.

Also, there is a Walgreens within walking distance from both the ESJ and IC hotel, it's to the west. Def. better stock up on water and other essentialsthere, rather than paying out the rear at the hotels for basic stuff.
