This Dubee /Lil Bruce / E-40 thing doesn't suprise me.
You expect it. E-40 is the face of the Bay Area Hyphy Movement whether he wants to be or not. So it's natural for cats to take shots at the thrown.
Quite frankly, it's REALLY not surprising considering the underlying Hillside/Crestside affiliation. Back in the day, the only interaction between Sic Wid It and YBB was between E-40 and Mall.
That was it.
But it's really odd that Dubee off all people would take a shot at E-40. E-40 has done everything right. He's stayed true to the Bay. He could have sold out completely after "In A Major Way", made his millions, and bounced. I mean, is this really because he doesn't shout out Mac Dre? Is this really because 40 "thinks he invented Hyphy"?
That just sounds stupid. And I don't know what's good with Bruce. Kid puts out one mediocre tape in the mid 90's and we're supposed to give a **** about what he thinks now?
Whatever. It's selfdestructive.
