Bear vs. Bison

In 2010, while driving through Yellowstone Park,  Alex Wypszinski saw this in his rearview mirror.

I thought the bison's injuries were from the bear.

The video states the bison was caught in a hot-spot and those are burn marks.

The pics had me. Reminded me of Ricky running before getting shot in the back.

Somebody school me on these "hot spots" in Yellow stone cuz I too thought the bear had the bison by the legs at one point before it got free.

I was just reading yesterday that a bison can run 64MPH and jump 6-7 feet in the air!!
