Hmmm still no explanation about why porn stars in clothes can't get posted. But their probably won't be. Smash dibiase I'm cosignin u man.. Although ur argument is slightly draggin now. Still cosign. Mods insult people all the time. But then its an issue of us being sensitive.. In the case of someone telling ska he's not a real mod though.. That's outta line.. Why? Ska was gonna get offline and slit his wrists cause someone said that? No? Man up. Like u sed.. Its a sneaker board.. And just cuz someone said u suck at ur role on it ur gonna bump them? WOW. Sounds femme.

Mods are selective all the time. But like I said.. Some mods have more ease with how quick the ban you. Meth thinks cuz he comes one here.. Writes a sonnet and a thesis on what is wrong with your thread.. It justifies his impulsive banning.
Like.. Cool.. Just cuz u used words that flew over the heads of the 14 year old kids your trying to protect from tittys.. And omg thongs... doesn't mean ur right.. Just cuz most dudes wanna hop on ur back and clap everytime you say something.. Still doesn't justify some of the things that go on here.

Oh.... and my favorite of all.. Is the blind eye turned to comments about races NOT BLACK.
The other day someone got banned in the titty thread for saying.. Something in reference to blackies.. Couple weeks later.. Jewelry thread... a comment about a 'whitey' in a thread.. I'm waitin.. Knowin meth is gonna deliver the hammer of god... because his ban button is 100 percent objective... or is it? No ban.. Warn.. Sonnet.. Thesis.. Novel.. Nothin.. But.. I'm sure it was just a case of he.. Nor any other mod.. Peepin that particular page that day.. Or the one about why dudes car had its wires hangin out of it... 'cuz a puerto rican was workin onit'... but it is what it is.. NT rules are fair. Sometimes

No disrespect intended but I would really like to see if Meth, Dirty, Jrose, ska, and holden would talk to us like they type. You guys are the strongest supporters of "It's just the internet" yet you guys do the opposite by constantly trying to toss your title around.


Meth...you're long winded...agreed. Ok. I'm a supporter of your fairness but you do talk down to us...you may call us kids but alot of us are 25-30 and honestly this is our release...I know you're a private man so I dont know if you're in a position of power at your job but it seems like you have the chip on your shoulder because you are NT's Method Man.

Dirty is too arrogant for his own good and I doubt he'd say 1% of the stuff he says on here to anyone in person.

Jrose5, the same way. He was on the old "other site". Fact. He stays flaming and taking shots at members but his actions are overlooked because of his title

Ska..knowing proper english on the internet is not an accolade. He can bad mouth kids who dont pay rent and are spoiled, even make threads about them yet when one of us says something...it's BAN BAN BAN. He's like that one mod that tries to be cool but can't.

What I'm trying to say...forget the title and act as if you're one of us regular NTers. Kingcrux and Air Ant are perfect examples. They enjoy their time on here not my banning rather by being MEMBERS

My problem has never been the rules just the enforcing of the rules. THE SELECTIVE ENFORCING of these RULES.

At the end of the day...treat us with the respect you'd want in return.
 
all i know is that i got banned for insulting somebody and cursing, thats 2 of the rules i broke. I'm following the rules 4sho now.

as somebody else said earlier Niketalk is a privilege not a right . at the end of the day , Niketalk IS a sneaker forum and we absolutely aren't entitled to it . these "new" rules aren't even new :lol:

around a month ago i pushed the limits and was banned for it . am i complaing about it ? was i ever bitter about it ? absolutely not . its like people who get speeding tickets for going over the speed limit and then get heated about it :lol:

Why must you discuss pornography on a sneaker message board?

It's a restriction that's easy to follow. That way we don't have to include a bunch of caveats "oh you can post it but you can't have any porn URLs in the image tag, and it can't be a screen cap from a pornographic movie" etc.

This is easy to understand: we don't want you discussing porn on NikeTalk, period. Doing so only creates further problems. For the sake of simplicity, it's a reasonable place to draw the line. We don't want you discussing porn, so don't discuss your favorite porn stars etc.

Funny, because earlier in this thread everyone was trying to claim that NikeTalkers were only 15 and, thus, should be allowed to beast over 15 year old girls, etc.

This is another case where people hold staff members to impossible standards, over-analyze, and nitpick every little thing we say to find fault. If I say "kids," usually it's informally and most of the time it's in reference to our younger members (or, at least, members whose ages I don't know, yet ACT like children) - not ALL members are included in that group. If you put yourself in that class, that's your interpretation and not necessarily a reflection of my intent.

If I needed NT for my ego, why would I be anonymous? Why would I turn down every single press request that comes my way? That's ridiculous.

All of our staff members have busy personal and/or professional lives. If someone comes across as short, it's probably because they're doing a service for the community and they don't need to put up with garbage over something like an Internet message board.

Kids, excuse me, people on here are so quick to try and make a federal case out of rules on a message board. Seriously, if that's the case you could benefit from some perspective in life.

We're just trying to run the best sneaker message board we can. It isn't life and death stuff. It's not a country. It's not a democracy. It's a PRIVATE message board. That people feel free to discuss the rules in an open way is a credit to the way we run things because, in reality, we could and perhaps should just close off all discussion and say "you have no say." Instead, we communicate with our members to explain our decisions and that, if nothing else, shows that we don't think we're "above" anyone else.

It's impossible to satisfy 100% of our visitors. Believe it or not, it's also impossible to enforce the rules with 100% accuracy. We're doing this in our spare time. THOUSANDS of posts are added each day. You do the math.

Posts aren't directly uploaded to our brains. If you want to try and make sure that ALL violations are dealt with, why not report some of the violations you come across?

No, you didn't.

I didn't read that thread. I CAN'T read all the threads. So, I try to focus on threads that send up clear red flags (inappropriate subjects, wrong forum, reposts, etc.) in order to contribute to the upkeep of the forum. I check the reported posts several times per day. The rest of the time? Here's a little secret: I like to read threads that interest me. The jewelry thread does not.

So, yes, hard as it may be to fathom, I didn't pore over every thread of the jewelry post looking for rule violations.

I say we close this thread and others that question the rules. I mean cleary there reinforcing old rules like someone said earlier. Also people didnt like the racial slurs rule. But in a few days it was forgotten and people have followed that rule. So whats so hard here? Its their rules, so deal with it. If you cant, then leave. Yall are making this bigger than it is.

Can you, with a straight e-face, tell me that if I was to report Jrose5 for the stuff other members get banned for he too will be dealt with???

Again, I'm pro-method man. You banned me, we e-mailed each other, you showed me where I went wrong but at the same time ska should be banned as well. I got banned for calling booduh spoiled in a thread, ska can make a thread pretty much calling everyone who doesn't pay their own bills spoiled or their possessions dont count cause they dont meet all the checks on his list.

Cameron banned me because I told someone in a thread that he isn't a car expert...voicing my opinion...RESPECTFULLY...he retaliates and 1.locks the thread and 2. bans me.

JRose5...he banned me for clowing Eddie Mack, Eddie Mack!!! in the same thread where HE himself was going at eddie..how is that not hypocritical.

I came to this message board for one reason, kicks.

It's just a message board.

If you don't like the rules, theres a million more message boards to move on to.

And no, I'm not "kissing" up to the mods, I don't post that much, I just come here when I'm bored at work...you kids entertain me all day.

But, I have spoken with Method Man, JRose, Bastich etc,on only a few occasions - they are all cool respectful dudes. And I have also been here long enough to know what this board was like before all you 16-year old hype beasts came along. We had some quality sneakerheads on this board full of storys and insight, but many of them have left because of the level of immaturity NT has at times.

They aren't trying to ruin your time - they want this to be a fun place, I guess you guys just don't get it.
