Perhaps you'll see a few stray posts in which people break the rule, but nothing widespread. People still commit murder, that doesn't mean that the law has "failed."

Hypothetically speaking... what if I wanted to make a thread that brings us down memory lane? Maybe a thread where we post pictures of celebrity girls that we had crushes on when we were young teenagers. Of course some of the answers are going to be girls that were our age. Is that going to be acceptable?

Send a message to the staff email account and somebody will check your record and determine whether or not to reinstate the account. If you did something really reprehensible, it's probably not going to happen. Otherwise, if you've recorded ZERO violations since your return I'd say you're in decent shape.

I'd say it depends on the context. If you say "Oh I used to have the biggest crush on Lisa Bonet" and you show a picture of her from the Cosby Show, I don't think there'd be any issue there.

If, on the other hand, you're going to talk about your fantasy honeymoon with Mary Kate / Ashley Olsen and you're lusting over pictures of her/them from Full House, I'd say we have a problem.

We're not going to tolerate anything that could be interpreted as pedophilia. Many 13 year old boys find little room for anything in their hormone addled minds other than the intense desire to copulate with anything female and breathing. I get that. That doesn't mean, however, that we have to indulge them the opportunity to graphically discuss what they'd like to do with a given 15 year old girl if presented with half a chance.

I think that's reasonable. We know it's natural for 15 year olds to be attracted to other 15 year olds - that's fine. But shouldn't we also show a little respect to the OBJECTS of their lust, to these 15 year old girls, and to the serious and growing problem of the Internet as a facilitator of pedophilia?

I were to make a "girl help" thread, which is frequent now on Niketalk.
Would the post of the picture of a 16 year old get me banned?

If someone else made a thread of the same nature would I be able to say

"pics?"
"No pics no help"
"This is NT, we need pics"
ect...

I'd get banned if the girl is 18<?


Why was VAsuperstar banned, was it because the context of his story? Was it because of the context of the story or because of the usage of banned words that were uncensored? I thought the story was great by the way.

I haven't seen him curse or use racial slurs and when people claim that he's insulted them, and in the case of "insults" generally it seems these users have been utterly INsensitive with respect to other members and extremely sensitive when it comes to ANYTHING said about their conduct on the site - especially from a staff member. I haven't found too many chronically banned users who particularly like our staff members, so it doesn't surprise me that they'd complain about the staff members who've administered their warnings/bans.

If you do see a staff member violating our rules and you're worried that your reports might be deleted etc., send me an email. MethodManNT@gmail

Staff members are human and, in the past, we've had to speak with a couple of people about how they're representing our staff and our community. We've also removed people from the staff who've proven incapable of handling the responsibility or conducting themselves with the ethical integrity we expect.

If there's a genuine problem, we'll address it. I don't consider "but he banned me and he's a meanie" to be a genuine problem, though, and the overwhelming majority of complaints about JRose fall into this category. He's given a lot to this community, much of which our members don't even recognize. He's been one of the single largest contributors to our staff@niketalk email, for example, answering hundreds of emails in his spare time. It's easy to nitpick, but rarely does anyone take a moment to acknowledge what he's done for the community.

That was back when a lot of kids were using that word, INSISTING that it wasn't offensive. Dirty used it repeatedly to demonstrate that it WAS offensive.

I certainly haven't seen him use that word since we've clarified the rule and begun warning those who use variations of racial slurs.

a post on NT to help you manage a long-distance relationship with your 16-year old girlfriend and you posted a normal picture of her - you're not going to be banned for that. (If some kid makes an "i'd hit it" comment - that user WOULD be warned.) If you're posting a picture of her in lingerie or something, then obviously that's not going to be allowed.

This doesn't mean, though, that relenting to peer pressure is a valid excuse. Just because the idiot snakepit is clamoring for pics doesn't mean you need to indulge them. You're responsible for everything posted under your account, period.

What's the point of making these claims without providing support?

If you're truly concerned, why not report it? Why be silent then instead of now? Complaining after the fact does no one any good and it's a waste of both your and our time.

Regarding people that are ban on sight status, what's wrong with that? It takes a lot to be ban on sight. These are people that have been given multiple opportunities to post on NikeTalk. There's no sympathy for people that can't do what 98% of NT can do without thinking. There's no sympathy for those that will make our task more difficult.

If you referring to those people whose back up names are banned when we see them, they're banned because the point of the initial ban is to keep them away from NikeTalk.



Get off My, unfortunately, I didn't log it so I can't say for sure, but I know that I banned one or two people for posting sexually explicit stories. From what you've posted, I would guess that he was one of them.

NT's Gen' forum isn't the Penthouse Forum or the testing ground for such material.
