So I was driving from columbus to cincy today and got pulled over doing 93 in a 65???
Cop say he got me doing 88 and 93 which is on the ticket. Told him I had a family emergency...
He comes back with a ticket...$165, I really don't need the points just got a ticket doing 84 in a 65 in September
Any good ways to get out if I take it to court??
**Maybe I was speeding up to get around a reckless 18wheeler??
**Cutting out a page from the birth section in the news paper and saying my nephew was born??
**Saying a McCain supporter was on the road and gave me the finger and i got nervous?

i got a ticket once for passing someone on a 2 lane road too quickly. i just wanted to make sure i was past the car, b/c my car was PACKED and i couldn'ttell where it was in my mirrors. think i had to go to court too.

The real reason i was speeding was I had to turn my rental back in and didn't want to get charged another day!

wrong cop will show more often than that and if they do you gonna have more problems than a fee and points...

why is your ticket only $165? In cali if I were to get caught doing 93 I know my ticket will cost 3-4 hundred bucks.

I got pulled over over there on 80 in a customers car(Niello Acura) once going 85 and I pretty much said "sorry I got going to fast down thehill, it won't happen again" and due let me off, said he wouldnt call my boss or anything

I've talked to several judges and every single one talks about the ridiculous excuses they got while on the job. Some of them are some high level guys, butregardless of their position they all remember a really stupid excuse they've been given.
From what they've told me the best thing to do is to be honest and say sorry, they will reduce the cost of the ticket. It's your fault for gettingcaught going that fast. I drive excessively fast, but I'm always watching out and so far I have never received a ticket.
