Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

I'm sold 100%. This show is straight fire. Another thing I'm scared of though (besides a skyler white character) is the fact that Saul is SUCH a loveable character I hope he stays that way. With BB, we never really liked walter white the same way. he was a d-bag from the get go, and when things got dark in the show, it was no big deal. I just HOPE that they don't turn Saul into a monster. I don't want a reason to look at him in too different of a light than what I know of him from BB.

Basically, I hope they don't make him too dark and twisted like walter white and pinkman.

i liked Walt tho

but yea, seems like you might not be to thrilled with this show then

from Vince Gilligan:

"Our self-given mandate on Breaking Bad  is we’re going to take the good guy and turn him into the bad guy. We’re going to evolve him. And we didn’t set out to do that, per se, with Better Call Saul, and yet, in a sense, this is where we find ourselves."

I always liked Walt...even thru his "transformation". He was never really a monster and made calculated decisions. Most drug kingpins in Walts shoes would be 10000 X worse.

And Saul is likeable, but had to do some slimy stuff to get where he's at.

Would you all consider hank a likeable character? Even tho he was out to thwart the "bad guys" the show basically pitted is against him since we were on walt's side by default.

Absolutely. He had so many redeeming qualities and a solid code. Plus he was humorous. I can respect both sides of the coin. Hank and Walt were both good guys in my book.

Hank to me was not a likable cat. From the very beginning he was an ahole in the ways he would through cheap shots at Walt for his shortcomings and undermining him as a father and husband.

The ONLY time I liked Hank was his final seconds alive when he finally gave Walt the little bit of respect/just due he'd been wanting for so long.

Lol at some of the questions asked in here makes me really question if y'all really watch n pay attention to the show. Been only two episodes and people are lost. I couldn't imagine following through the breaking bad post week in n week out.

I loved Walt. Agreed with just about everything he did except for letting Jesse go.

Hank was a douchebag through and through. Before he was even pitted against Walt. It's why his story line required him getting completely humbled by crippling him and failing to find Heisenberg to the point they thought he didn't exist.

Seeing Tuco makes me believe they all comin.

Hank will show up.
Gomie.
Gus.
Crazy 8.
Marie. (By extension of Hank)
Maybe even her sister. To the chagrin of everyone.

Mike's network will obviously grow, likely involving Saul.

I think it's all in play. Walt and Jesse are the only "cameos", the rest can be used as regulars.

I think they intentionally made Walt likeable to start.

I liked him even after he started Breaking Bad...see what I did there, guys?:lol

So many gems.  Tuco still acting like the crazy mufah.  And then his minions, wasn't that fat spanish one the one he dealt with in BB.  Where he died in junkyard with all the cars toppling over him.

Someone remind me, how did Walt get introduced to Tuco in BB.  I'm pretty sure it was through Jesse's homies.  But with BCS, Saul will probably start doing business with Tuco's lieutenant.  I'm pretty sure his grandpa will come into the picture also since he was an OG.  But that also means Gus might be in the picture too.  Man this show got me anticipated to the max.

Walt met tuco when he went into that building to avenge jessie. I forgot exactly who sent Jessie there in the first place.

Jessie's friend Skinny Pete knew Tuco from jail and setup a met
BOOM!  So at one point of BCS they might show Tuco getting knocked and doing some time then.  Basically showing what led up to Tucos arrest whether Saul had something to do with it or not.

Why would Hank and Gomez show up? They never mentioned any past transgressions involving Saul during BB.

Hopefully we only get cameos from bad guys and muscle, this show needs to be its own entity.

:lol

Minute, but, pretty sure dude at the other table was breaking crab legs and not breadsticks.

I don't want any characters from BB in this.

Let it stand alone.

Drop a few walk byes in from time to time but lets let Saul be Saul.

Remember he was never Gus lawyer.

It's 10000 other crimes to commit other then selling meth.
