big sean featuring kendrick lamar and jay electronica "no i.d" freestyle

Don't think the rappers are "responding"

Just think they are having fun catching the spirit of competition....at least those making a song (or response as NT will call it)

Who cares if he said your name. Get the beat. Do your best and have some fun

Kendrick did a great job. I enjoyed Sean's verse as well, especially the dirty version . Jay elec was alright too

I'll go with the former and what's a "actual musical record?"

Some of the more melodic records that were on take care that many felt were like "Popish" or "Soft" or the records where the raps weren't "there." Drake been rapping his *** off for a couple of years now is the point i'm trying to make and people typecast him as someone who just makes these pop rap records and sings about heartbreak when he's been consistently outrapping virtually everyone...on multiple occasions.

He means in terms of delivery.

I Know :lol so he didn't "Sound" aggressive on 5am in toronto? He didn't sound aggressive on that Stay Scheming verse?

Stay schemin, lord knows,9 a.m. In Dallas, 5 a.m. In Toronto, etc. says drake disagrees
Its a level of harshness and vocal fierceness which can also be called aggression that Drake doesn't display or translates as well as when Kendrick goes off into that dark voice.

You wouldn't call a DMX aggressive the same as a Jay Z aggressive.

I never typecasted him but even those records you posted (some of which I liked) the verses aren't strong enough for me to believe that drake can drop onslaught after onslaught. The verses were dope but they only wow'd me because he doesn't do it often.

Those verses are strong as hell and they were very impressive to me. I haven't heard any rappers with the exception of Kendrick rap better in that same timespan so we'll have to agree to disagree.

Lord Knows? When rapping about going through broads phones, nah.

Stay Schemin and that Goodnight and Good Luck song are the only times Drake really went at somebody and it was still hard for me to take him serious. Dude sounds out of his element doing that ****. I'm a Drake fan but like I said it's not his style.

Would.love to.hear drake but I dont think its his style either....

but I would.love to hear Krit n Cole.....

buddens got it....but I dnt really feel.he.belongs in responding

if u listen to Sean's verse closely he's actually throwing some shots at Knedrick's verse... Its only 4 bars but i thought that was kinda neat

"One of the hottest b/c I flame drop/Drop fire... and not b/c I'm name dropping Hall of Fame dropping/ I aint taking spit from nobody unless the owe g's/ Cause that aint the way of a OG" :hat

Its amazing how many people in this thread are taking Kendricks lyrics as a diss when its not.

Its even more amazing that rappers who weren't even mentioned in the song are catching feeling. I am most shocked at Lupe considering he has given Kendrick love in the past and called him "the next big thing" before GKMC dropped. But then again Lupe as much as I dig him as an artist has been on some other stuff lately.

These other rappers need to stop catching feelings and step their game up.

"Freestyled" your last two albums?

Oh u mean one take? Or sitting in a booth burning up studio time b/c u recording a verse by each bar?

:{ get tyga outta here b
