wasn't a direct shot at all of those rappers, he included big sean and jay electronica in the list of names he called out also

Dude was just listing people he's done songs with in the last couple years. Basically the core group of rappers that make up the current generation of rappers that tend to get spin and have collaborated together. He wasn't attacking them, just saying "I'm still gunning for that number 1 spot". I miss that kind of competitive energy when it comes to lyricism. I'm hoping this brings that back.

Yup and I love it too....nobody can ever be comfortable or complacent, Kendrick included...competition and raising the bar brings out the best in everyone hopefully :smokin

Did you expect Jay E to come out growling and ish? :lol

Jay E ain't about that. He ain't worried about those other verses because he probably felt like they weren't up to par lyrically or he didn't hear them first.

"The wordplay is sweet but the rhymes don't thrill me"

Come on dude. Did we hear the same song?

The only way he could feel that way was if he lives in some alternate reality.

Tracks are e-mailed to each other, I doubt he heard the other two verses before that verse.

All I hear is name calling.........

Lol but whatever float ya boats

Didn't know Lupe was on the board :rolleyes

:rollin at the thought of Jay Elec deeming verses not up to par. A guy who has less work ethic than Juelz Santana shouldn't think that at all.

:lol

Tyga in the studio right now trying his best to get his Kendrick on :lol

And for some reason I can't wait to hear it. I know I'm going to get a good :rollin

Tyga is like the Ray J of rap.

I'm happy he called dudes out better than throwing subliminals and having 10 pages of dudes doing detective work to figure out who he's talking about

It wasn't even a diss

The rappers he didn't even mention are talking more than the dudes he did (freck) now that's being a attention *****. It's always that one dude who try to sit three on a seat on the school bus so he can sit in the back

West Philly Freck giving that real talk!! Bring back the punchlines Freck they ain't ready

this is corny, everything that boy kdot touch is fire, buzz aint on 100? shhhhhhhhhhttttt.....freck is my dude but he shouldnt be talking about buzz. like others said the ones he didnt name should be feeling the most, like lil wayne should b tight he wasnt mentioned lol

my man west philly freck

"The linen clean, splash of grenadine, the double blue 62 ,smash your limousine" :smokin

Like I said the ones who didn't get mentioned are butthurt...how the hell is your buzz slowing if you're about to go platinum? And may end up with a Grammy...my dude huh?!? :lol

An Jay Elec went in, but he always does nothing new...those verses aren't going to have a hundredth of the impact Kendrick's will, as you can already tell. Dope lyrics are great but nothing Jay said will be impactful as far as a dialogue and people stepping up, so in the context as far as who said it and what they said: Kendrick >> Jay on the track...jay isn't even gonna drop an album he's marrying heiresses :lol ain't eem mad at him

I like what Kendrick did, basically told all these ****** to wake up and bring your "A" game cause he is.  Jay Electronica verse sounded like he was half sleep and in the bed when he recorded it.  Nice bars and all, but he sounded lazy with it.
Dudes still fronting like Drake can't snap when he wants to
I think your using the word "snap" a little too loosely champ.  With Drake, we're talking about a guy that went on stage and sang a Destinys' Child song.  As a so called rapper Drake should never be taken seriously.

You guys forget Kendrick in Dre's camp? Regardless of how yall feel about em and 50 in 2013, a level of excellence is still expected at aftermath and Kendrick is a kin to that.
