I like pac more but I can see why people would say big. Big's flow was just so raw, as strictly a lyricist he is better then pac. But as a musician I thinkpac is better, much more versatile IMO. Big's best songs are all kind of dark, sane flow same message, which is cool, but pac had a lot of good songs aboutdifferent stuff and different flows. They are both great though, and I don't know how the hell Big L got in this discussion

Pac was such a true soul. I like Biggies metaphors and word play. But Pac had his word play too. Pac didn't lie about the things he been through.

Pac is my favorite rapper of all time, #2 is Nas, #3 is Jay. BIG is in the top 5 and I am definitely a fan of his, but I'll rollw/2Pac no matter what

Does it matter whose better? Both of these guys will always be heralded in hip-hop for who they were as people and what they meant to the game.
But just for arguments sake...
If you wanna talk about creating a movement by far Tupac Shakur was the most charismatic rapper to ever live. The guy's music spoke to your soul and asidefrom those radio friendly jams like California Love for instance songs like Dear Mama always made a lasting impact. Dude had so many altercations withauthority, fellow rappers, and just about anything that hindered Black freedom but he did it with a conscience and seemed like he always had the betterinterest of oppressed people in mind.
On the other hand...if you talk about creating a buzz and setting the East Coast on fire Biggie was the best thing going at the time. Dude was smooth with hislyrics and went in haaarrddd *pause* for NYC at the time when the West was overshadowing the East for a good minute. Dude held it together for all of NYC andthe East Coast for that matter. Dude had the most swag by far of any fat rapper in history and although he didn't get on t.v. and talk about any andeverything he held it down for his people and his people loved him for that.
Doesn't really matter who you pick. If you prefer Pac..you prefer Pac. If you prefer B.I.G...you prefer B.I.G. Both were and will always be great.

I think Big & Pac are both equally talented. I personally think Pac is the greatest OVERALL when adding "meaning."
Pac is very influential (in my life) anyway. Big was just great, and didnt have enough work to showcase his talent.

lifestylez production is something to be desired...
No doubt Lifesylez isn't as well produced as Biggie's albums but lyrically just as sharp ? Nah, no way. Life After Death was not that nice lyricallyspeaking and Ready to Die still isn't seeing Lifestylez. Big L was just too clever on the mic, constant flow of rhymes with sharp wit. Not knocking BIG,but listen to Ready to Die and Lifestylez all the way through and you will see what i'm talking about. I'll admit though that some songs Biggie has aremore entertaining because of the production. It doesn't mean he is a better rapper just because of that...
