Not a lot of pics, but I think you should be able to see how bad my 3's were. I didnt want to take pics at first in case it came out bad so no pics of theright foot. The right foot was actually much worse than the left. Now some of the pics don't make them look that bad but they were very yellowed and haddark stains. I saw a previous post about Angelus Leather Paint so I ordered some and it definately makes the differences. Let me know what you think...

stuff the crap out of those 3 with some news paper or magazine paper and you should be good, and change the laces back to black. those white laces aredisgusting

To me, painting the midsole on a used pair of Black/Cement AJ IIIs looks
sick.gif
. I mean, just look at the elephant print. The white on the midsole makes it look even filthier!

If the kicks are yellowed, just leave 'em alone and rock 'em until they are beat into the ground. Heat looks better beat anyway!

On a side note, I totally agree with illjaybe3. Those white laces make me want to puke.

Hope this helps!

Honestly, you should have just left it yellow. It looks obvious that it's been repainted, and not trying to hate, but you did a bad job. The key thing withretorations is you want it to look original as possible. Best thing to do is add some yellow [very little] to the white paint, because that white is just WAYtoo white. What kind of paint are you using? Also, the masking job wasn't too great either. Here are some restorations i did, just as examples:

For the black maxes, i didn't even bother masking it. I guess all those years of art school paid off.

Oddly enough the discolored yellow midsole gives it some character and appeal, I'd love the ds pair of those, the prices and risk of cracking steer my away

Unfortuantely I don't have the pics of the other foot before the painting, the yellowing was more black than yellow and almost looked like two differentshoes so I painted them. I'm happy with them even though I'm not a good painter but I'd rather rock them this way which is closer to how I boughtthem in 01 then a very discolored version. The yellowing was not the the problem but the very black stains were so i did what i wanted.
