Boardwalk Empire: Episode 11 - â€

Wait did I miss a page or has nobody seriously mentioned the notions that were made towards once and for all settling that Jimmy is Nucky's boy in the cathouse. Like how torrio says to Nucky, "your boy...my boy." which could mean like your boy that worked for you. But then when Jimmy and Nuck had the late night talk Jimmy is like first I'm a piece of dirt on your boot and now I''m your long lost son. So does Jimmy know or was he just sayin..

I think Jimmy was just saying that. If he really thought he was Nucky's son, I don't think he would have put it that way. I'm also not so sure about him being Nucky's son anymore. I can't see Nucky treating him that way if it was his son. Bringing your son back to AC to be your main killer just doesn't seem consistent with the way Nucky is portrayed to think about family and kids. I could be wrong, but right now that is how I see it.

If anything, the thing that Nucky needs most right now is an enforcer and Jimmy has shown that he's more than capable of filling that role.

hell no not the feds, im talking about giving him up to rothstein, rothsteins still looking for him, if nucky gave jimmy up to them a lot of problems other than maybe a little money would be solved for nucky on that end AND if jimmy were dead, the feds would stone cold on that case

who does he need an enforcer from?  rothstein and the italians, nucky handing jimmy over + cash would be a peace offering in my eyes, these are all problems nucky doesnt need as a business man, remember that nucky had absolutely nothing to do with that heist and hes going to continue to take the fall for it unless somebody answers for it

like i said, jimmys entering into a world of danger for a just a little more cash than what he probably could have made safely in chicago  - but hey, its tv, we're all in it for the drama

MAN... This show just got EXTRA real...

This episode set up A LOT of plot lines

I'm still in awe at how incredible the dialogue is sometimes.

Yea I thought it was the dudes who pulled the casino stunt and they were checking to see if anyone was watching Nuckys office. I thought that since she answered they knew it was only her and they were gonna hit it, had me biting my fingernails lol.
same, its a basic Juxx procedure

thought they were going to rush the spot as soon as they heard a female voice, he should have told her not to answer the phone, or to at least answer and be silent

my guess is that it was salty Lucy who called the office.

I see Eli being extremely jealous of Jimmy first. Once Jimmy succeeds and shutting down this war. I see Eli going for his own power trying to impress nucky shortly after.

I mean I do expect him to be in bed rest for at least 3 more eps and then tries to push himself after.

^ I dunno. Eli getting shot but not dying was the best thing that could have happened to Nucky. Eli won't ever get out of pocket again. He tried to take the reigns once and got gutshot. He'll fall back to playing his position like a good soldier because he does not have what it takes to be Nucky. Just like Silvio as acting boss in the Sopranos.

This ep was superb. Just from foreseeing how things would go down when Eli said he'd collect from the casino, the whole Nucky !+$%$@@@ on Jimmy thinking he didn't contact or send money to his fam. Shroeder getting spooked by the phone call, then eventually being the dummy she is opening the ledger. Dope Rothstein scene !+$%$@@@ on lawyers

Nucky telling Edge off. Jimmy not understanding one #+@!%%+ thing when Al and Torrio were playing cards
laugh.gif
The comment Nucky made about him being Irish and them Italian stung and you could see it.
He knew Margaret was going to open the book. She's far from innocent and I hope that people are starting to realize this.

yup....that !$%@ probably didn't resonate w. Jimmy until Nucky made a comment about it.

Here's my thing about the Ledger....knowing that does have a safe spot in his closet where it could be hidden, why on earth would he leave it in his desk drawer unattended?  If there was a raid or something else along those lines, it could have EASILY been found.  I gotta agree w. EB....he purposely left it there.  A man as calculated as Nucky wouldn't be so careless with a book that held that many secrets....

^Nucky? raided? He'd scoff at that notion now and even more if this was a few weeks ago. He runs AC. If he's there aint nobody running up in his hq like that. He wasn't there so it probably passed his mind that Van Alden might pull some bs again.

I think it's the actual ledger. Don't see what he gains by purposely leaving the real one there for Shroeder unless he needs her trust and her looking in it doesn't matter.

As for Eli I think he'll want to redeem himself. I don't see him knowing his role. He might act up again. Since right now he's a never was and not even a has been.

Feds are building a case against him and you don't think he'd be raided?  Unless he's testing Schroder, it doesn't make sense for him to be that careless w. the ledger.

I hear you, but I don't think handing over Jimmy solves the problems.  Remember, Rothstein doesn't like Nucky anyway and is probably going to think Nucky had something to do with the heist regardless of what Nucky says or does.  The Italians just want in the booze business and weren't even involved in the heist.  Nucky would have to give them a big slice of his business in order to get them to go away. I think if Nucky to offer Rothstein Jimmy and money it would just contribute to the perception they already have that he's weak and won't stand up to them.  That's just how I see it though.  I could be wrong.

Just saw this thread on here, will post more often. This has become my favorite show on tv. The upcoming weeks' preview at the end of the last episode leads me to believe the violence will pick up as the show goes on.
