RJ Mitte (Walt Jt.) does have cerebral palsy in real life, just a much milder form than his character.

My cousin was telling me that Walt Jr. {RJ Mitte} is the best actor on the show. I asked why do you think that, and he said because he plays the handicapped part so well . Lets just say his mind was blown when I told him he really has cerebral palsy. Minus the crutches everything is real.

I guess it comes down to personal preferance and the type of tv viewer you are. This story , imo, feels as if there could have been more sagas played out. There's so much potential. Although I can see how it could drag out though , so why not shorten the seasons to 10 episodes, instead of 13?


Oh well, after Sunday I'll still likely declare this as the greatest television show of all time.

everyone is talking about Walt Jr. turning on his dad and not asking why he did what he did. What about Hank? Do you guys think he should have found out first why Walt, who he as known for umpteen years why/how did he start doing this?

I know Hank was blinded by his rage and anger over the lies and deceit. Walt being responsible for that call about Marie, him getting shot by the Salamanca brothers, and the gruesome deaths of all the witnesses in prison. It just seems like non of those questions were asked, he just stayed in DEA mode the entire time.


By the way, I know it it's minute compared to everything else that is going on but that oh **** moment when Hank finds out about Walt . Although very funny and humerous, Hank deserved better. There were so many clues since season 1 leading back to Walt. I wish he would have found out using the same skills to find Gus. Maybe that is the irony of the situation.

I think the creators of breaking bad made a good choice by not drawing out the show. They could've turned Walt into Gus II, had him create his own empire, show the inevitable downfall reserved for all king pins, etc. But they always kept it about Walt's longing to take care of his family. The money that he made, the sacrifices he took, were always for the sake of his family.

Hank didn't really have a choice. He was DEA. For all the reasons you mentioned, there was no point in finding out "why?" especially when the answer was obvious... Walt needed money. Hank would have never been able to live with himself if he let Walt go and there would have been no reason to hear Walt out because all that would do is weaken Hank's resolve.

Hanks MO the whole time tho. his DEA folks kept telling him to drop it, stop investigating Blue but he couldnt stop. he found his prize...

There's a difference between drawing out a show, compared to continuing it. The logical thing to do would have been to make it 7 seasons. While I am enjoying season 5, his downfall has been rushed, and you can easily tell that there was more story to be told instead of condensing it how it is. Again, I'm enjoying the hell out of it as it is now.

The point is, there's no guarantee the quality would remain as high over the course of 2 more full seasons. I'd rather it feel a little rushed than get weaker/filler episodes. The fact is, even the best shows tend to stay on the air too long resulting in a slight dip in quality. Breaking Bad has avoided that and I'm glad in a way. A compromise would have been just getting two full seasons with 5 and 6, rather than splitting up 5 into 2 smaller seasons.

Out of all the shows to last this long, I feel like this is one that could've managed. Gilligan already had plans for 6 or 7 seasons, so I think they could've kept it going for two more seasons without losing quality.

Also, Hank and Flynn just found out Walt has been intensely lying for over a year now. He's basically a professional liar at this point. Why bother listening to his explanations? The facts are there. He's done some terrible, terrible things and was directly involved in Hanks murder. This wasn't one lie. This was an entire world of lies that Walt built. His word means nothing to them and it shouldn't. I don't think it was a hole AT ALL.
